Sam Hinkie, Former General Manager of the Philadelphia 76ers

Sam Hinkie is the former GM and President of Basketball Operations for the Philadelphia 76ers. Under Sam’s leadership, the Sixers were ranked #1 by ESPN Magazine in the use of analytics in team building. Sam shared how he uses data and statistical analysis to make draft decisions, optimize trades, create optionality and even to determine whether or not a player should participate in a practice based on a statistical probability of injury.
